Privacy Policy

FleshNote Desktop IDE is a local-first, offline application. It runs entirely on your personal computer:

• > No analytics, usage tracking, telemetry, or behavioral profiling.
• > No advertising networks or third-party tracking scripts.
• > Your manuscripts, entities, world dates, and notes are never transmitted anywhere without your explicit action.

All projects are stored as standard SQLite databases and Markdown files on your local file system. You retain total sovereignty over your work. Authors are advised to make regular local backups or export to DOCX/PDF formats.

FleshNote Companion requests only the minimal permissions necessary for novel drafting:

• Storage / File Access: Required to save your encrypted SQLite database and export formatted novel files (PDF, DOCX, Markdown) to your device's internal storage.
• Network Access (Internet): Used exclusively when you choose to connect and synchronize your project with the desktop IDE via end-to-end encrypted relay, or for Google Play license verification.

When syncing between your Android device and desktop computer:

• > Data payloads are encrypted locally on your phone using AES-GCM-256 with a user-defined passphrase prior to transmission.
• > The relay server acts purely as a blind encrypted mailbox; neither the developer nor server infrastructure hold decryption keys.
• > Only paired devices possessing your private key can decrypt the content.

Because all project files are stored in the local application sandbox on your Android device:

• > Local Data Deletion: Uninstalling the application or selecting "Clear Data" in Android App Settings permanently wipes all local SQLite project databases.
• > Cloud Sync Relay Data: If using the sync relay, temporary encrypted blobs expire and are automatically purged from server caches. You can request immediate manual removal of any paired relay registration at any time.
